The crew that installs your windows works for an independent installation company, not for us. Every one of them is licensed and insured in Florida, and every one of them is certified on the products they are installing — which matters, because a Pella unit and a PGT unit do not go in the same way.
We choose them, we keep choosing them, and we stop referring the ones who stop earning it.

Most people asking this question have. Here is what is different.
The usual story: a salesperson sells the job, an unknown crew turns up, something goes wrong, and suddenly nobody owns it. The reason that happens is that the seller hands the job off and stops answering the phone.
We do not hand it off. The order, the measurements and the schedule stay with us, and if the install and the product disagree about whose problem something is, that argument is ours to have — not yours.

Ours: the product, the measurements, the order being right, the delivery, and the manufacturer’s warranty on the unit itself.
The installer’s: the labor, the opening, the flashing and sealing, the site, and their own workmanship warranty.
If the product is wrong, that is on us and we replace it. If the installation is wrong, the installer fixes it — and we are the ones making sure they do.

An in-house crew is one calendar and one skill set. A network means the installer on your job is the one who is certified on your product and available in your county, instead of whoever the single crew could spare.
It also means a bad install is a referral we can withdraw, rather than an employee we have to defend.

No. Good Windows + Doors sells the product and coordinates installation through independent installation companies we vet. We are not a general contractor and we do not self-perform installation.
Who is responsible if something goes wrong?
The product, the measurements and the order are ours. The labor, the opening and the workmanship are the installer’s. We stay in the middle of the job rather than handing you off, so the question of whose problem it is does not become yours.
How do you choose installers?
They have to be licensed and insured in Florida and certified on the products they install. We keep referring the ones who keep earning it, and stop referring the ones who do not.
Can I use my own installer?
Yes. Material-only orders are normal. We will price the product and your installer can take it from there.
Is the installation warranted?
The unit carries the manufacturer’s warranty. Workmanship is warranted by the installation company that did the work. Both are in writing before the job starts.
